Caterpillars is our one-week summer course for teenagers who want to learn about software engineering.

At Code Chrysalis, we believe that a great software engineer knows more than how to code. That's why this class is designed to introduce teenagers to the technology industry in a comprehensive way, sparking their interest and getting them excited to continue learning.

In just one week, we cover topics like computer science fundamentals, product design, communication, collaboration, and problem solving. Parents and family members are invited to attend graduation on the last day, where students will share their app ideas in a startup style pitch!

In this Class, Students Will...

1

Gain a deeper understanding of careers in the technology industry.

2

Use the design process to solve a real world challenge.

3

Understand basic computer science concepts like conditionals and loops.

4

Solve online coding challenges with Scratch (beginner) or JavaScript (intermediate).

5

Practice perseverance, collaboration, and communication.

6

Develop confidence in an all-English environment.

7

Make friends and have fun!
