It’s Global Game Jam this weekend! Our co-organizer, CJ, will be doing a streaming session where they build a prototype visual novel from scratch in Ren’Py.
They’ll show us the basics of:
- Using Miro to write design documents for your game
- Setting up and running Ren’Py on your machine
- Collaborating with other teammates using VSCode
- How to crop and resize assets for use in Ren’Py using Affinity Photo
- Making a short, cute game!
We’ll be starting at 19:00 and running for 2~3 hours; as long as it takes to make a small prototype in Ren’Py.
Come hang out and learn together with us!
* This event is also open to those not participating in the Global Game Jam.
* We will choose the language (English or Japanese) based on your preference at signup.
