We are excited to announce the TRI-AD Scholarship for Women.

TRI-AD is providing one full scholarship for the Code Chrysalis Immersive in April 2019.

What is TRI-AD?

TRI-AD is Toyota's newly established software development company aimed at defining the future of automated driving. Called Toyota Research Institute-Advanced Development, or TRI-AD, it is created in conjunction with automotive supplier Aisin Seiki and Denso.

Together, they plan to invest $2.8 billion into TRI-AD in the coming years and hire around 1,000 employees in order to develop software systems that can power fully self-driving vehicles.

Part of this goal means increasing the number of women going into engineering and diversifying the engineering industry.

Who is eligible?

Anyone who identifies as a woman and is accepted to the Code Chrysalis Immersive.

What does the scholarship cover?

  • Full tuition to the Code Chrysalis April Immersive
  • Guarantee of an interview for a TRI-AD software engineering role: see openings at TRI-AD

When is the deadline?

Applicants must submit an application and be accepted to the Immersive program by February 4th, 2019.

What is involved?

  1. Pass admissions coding challenge for the Code Chrysalis Immersive
  2. Pass the admissions interview on or before February 4, 2019
  3. Accepted candidates will have an interview with TRI-AD for the final scholarship decision between February 4th and February 20, 2019
  4. Scholarship winner will be decided on February 22, 2019
